Mahsea Evans has been in ministry since 2007. Pastor of Roseville UMC since November 2019, he was previously the youth pastor at St. Mark's Methodist Church in Sacramento. Mahsea has completed a Doctor of Ministry from the Claremont School of Theology. He teaches part-time at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. Mahsea shares his love of the spoken Word, bringing new approaches to the church and the surrounding community.

First UMC Roseville has been involved in Helping Hands Feeding Ministry for over thirty years. Each Monday we serve meals to the local community.
On the 4th Friday each month we serve our local community by hosting multiple community service agencies that provide information and help with medical issues, housing, taxes, etc. We provide agency space, food, games, and a monitored playground. Hablamos español.

Partnering with St. Mark's UMC of Sacramento we hosting virtual meetings, bringing together the youth in our communities to engage in fun activities, socialize with their peers, and learn from one another. See the February Chimes article for more information.
Men gather on the first and third Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM in Heritage Chapel for a devotional study, fellowship and to plan projects that enrich the church.
Our crafters meet on the first and third Thursday morning of the month at 10:00 to create beautiful items to sell to benefit Church Ministries.
We are focused on many social justice issues and are not afraid to get out in the streets. Many of our activities were postponed due to the pandemic. Some have restarted.
Sunday worship services have resumed. Our feeding ministry has continued throughout. Crafters are are now meeting at the church on Thursday mornings. Tuesday prayer service is still on-line, The Wesley Circuit Riders, pictured, deliver packages to church members without computer access.
United Methodist Women have a new name: United Women in Faith. UMW is open to all women of faith. After two long years of separation, we are meeting again in person. See the April Chimes for information about our Cinco de Mayo luncheon.
In-person Children's Sunday School has been suspended until further notice.Join our Virtual Youth Program or see our UMC Kids page in the meantime for fun learning activities.
